A very powerful, moving message. And very timely. Thank you. BTW, I have your father's Bible -- "Possibility Thinkers Bible", now about 30 years old. From Page 1359, as you say at the beginning of each service = 'God Loves You And So Do I', or GLYASDI,. God bless all, and God less America !

  3. msasahills commented on Special Concert for Natalie in Events:

I will most certainly pray that this concert is an outstanding success; I live on the south coast of Western Australia, so cannot come along: that would require a year's planning and organisation. As a child it was thought that I too had Leukaemia, and I was hospitalised; I'm told that my scripture teacher came to see me in the hospital and that she prayed with me; I only recently lost contact with her. Anyway, I aparently experienced a vision of the Lord Jesus himself, and when my parents came to see me, I told them "Do not worry; Jesus has been to see me and I am healed"; consecutive tests came back clear. I do not recall this marvelous experience myself, for I was often ill and always on huge doses of medication for epilepsy and frequent infections. It is my prayer that Rob's daughter Natalie will experience Jesus love and amazing grace, that she will be cured of this terrible illness and that God will minister to every one of her family and freinds who are so burdend nowAMEN. Ruth.

  4. msasahills commented on A World Throbbing with Life in Devotions:

This is a story which I can relate to well. I had major brain surgery in 2000, in an effort to stop or at least lower my epileptic fits. In order to establish where the most trouble was comming from (of 2 different areas on different hemispheres) I had to undergo a 2-week test more dangerous that any possible surgical procedure, IF they could help me. Having decided that yes, I wanted them to proceed with the test, I experienced 'the peace which passes all understanding' and the dangerous test went smoothly, followed by the surgery, a temporal lobectomy, during which there was a complication, but I was only the 2nd in 9 years of neurosurgery. Then, worse; I contracted MRSA in my head and this nearly took my life -- but my 'peace' remained un-interupted even though those around me were very distressed. By the power of prayer my life was spared and 2 years ago, no trace of the MRSA was detected when I was to have a minor operation. Now I've had 7 fit-free years, praise the Lord with me.

I was in my church meditating and I heard a voice which I assume might be God's. It always begins with those words. i'm being forced out of my resisdence by no fault of my own simply because the landlady wants to give it to her daughter and her three friends. I've just retired and will recieve my first SS check. My problem is I have no where to go around here as everything is expensive and I may have to move out of state. I have no family(decese) and I've never married. The uplifting thing is to remember to keep Jesus in our hearts. The voice mentioned coming to the library and to go on the internet, which I do everyday. What a pleasent surprise to read the sermon and find Psalm 46:10 mention. I feel that God is around me and will in His time provide the miracle I need to get through this.

Psalm 46:10. Be still and know that I am God. Thank you God for the wonderful message n the ministry of God. I am back from a long weekend of independence day holiday, we had been to a hill station close to mumbai, my hubby and my child. My hubby kept complaining the hotel was not upto the mark, room service or decor.I am so amazed coming from where he lived before was a shack, we have grown no doubt but complaining and nagging does ruin a trip. Y'day was my Uncles funeral and he died at 43 w/heart attack. I thank God for the gifts He has abundantly showered on us. Thank you God for life n love. Billions of gifts that the Lord has given us n I donno how to convince my nagging hubby for whom I left my Dad's posh home n lifestyle, that God has blessed us. We should not and cannot complain. Its not how it should be. God loves you, me n our baby. He laughs when I ask him 2 pray together. He feels T.V is intresting. He shouts at his Father infront of our child. Jesus come into our lives.

A wonderful sermon, and so timely with so many people hurting from job losses, and losing loved ones, and ill health; and all the more so as our population ages. We all need to be reminded that the Lord didn't come to take us out of this world or away from troubles, but that He will be with us here to help us get through them and we can overcome everything, if we are willing to call on Him and then trust Him. Every problem, every trial, every pain, and every loss can be a teacher that will make us stronger, so that we can help someone else going through the same thing later on. Our emotions and feelings can get in the way; we must be still and trust GOD so that we can be filled with His peace again. Thank you for this positive message of hope ... Rosebud

Thank you. Though it is difficult to read comments from other people who are going through tough times, it is also encouraging to know that I am not alone. I am divorced from an alcoholic husband who constantly yelled at me. I left him 13 years ago and brought up our two children all by myself with no financial support. I fell in love with a man who stole all the money I had left and then, five years ago, I developed breast cancer AND melanoma within a month of each other. I feel crushed emotionally, financially and physically. The process of writing this and submitting it will help me tremendously to let go and let god. I claim faith that god still loves me.

I also have been going through rough times - we are senior citizens and have limited funds to live on- I have prayed and thank god every day for his blessings- they come -one by one - I have to call my mortgage company today as I can't make my payment - We have living on the edge - but I know god is there and we got a call saturday for my Spouse to go into Walmart - next Wed and be interviewed - Thank you god - Yesterday our TV got shut down & we couldn't watch church - Then we got another call from a Possible part time position for us through my son - Today I have to call the Lender on our house case we are behind and had to declare a Chapter 13 to save it - But I don't have enough to make the Payment this month - we have things coming up so that next month we could be positive thanks to god - I thank him daily for each little blessing and it comes in when totally unexpected -

Another wonderful sermon. I truly love both Dr. Schullers. I have been going through an extremely difficult financial time. My job was cut more than six months ago and I have no money to pay the bills. I am now delinquent and frightened out of my wits. Have even thought of suicide; but believe that's sin. I also have diabetes type 1 which causes hypoglycemia. I pray to God for His love and His help many times a day. So far none has come, but through God all things are possible and I continue to hope for a miracle. Love and best wishes to all at the Crystal Cathedral. macsharon

Thank you again for words that touch my heart. While praying and waiting patiently for tomorrow and the outcome of a blood test, I prayed again for the internal storm I was going through. As you said the verse 46:10, Be still and know that I am God.... I felt the quieting presence of my Savior and new everything would be alright. At 1:00pm I recieved a call from my doctor, hoping I didn't mind him calling me on Sunday - I said absolutely not, and yes this CA125 blood test was definitely negative. CA stands for Cancer and the test was for Ovarian Cancer possibility. Praise God and my Savior and Friend Jesus for calming my storm, and letting me know He would be there no matter what the outcome. Dr. Schullers - your words always touch my heart and my life. God be with you as you continue to do HIS work. Amen

  2. msasahills commented on Donna's Story: Embracing a Beautiful Future in Devotions:

I have really been able to relate to the 'positive minute' articles, about Donna's life, over the last 3 days, not that I had alchoholic parents, nor was my Ex an alchoholic, but other factors outside of the family home have affected my painful past. It is only now after a lifetime of epilepsy and behaviour-controlling medications that the clouds are clearing -- and facing the realities of all of the things I'd previously not been aware of, both pleasant and unpleasant or even just disappointing; it's only now, piece by piece, that the intricate details of the 'image' of my life and what God has made me are gradually being revealed. Some are very confronting emotionally, physically, spiritually and even hormonally -- an area of my life as a girl which hadn't been able to come to fruition, due to efforts to controll my 'pattern' of ceisures in my early years of high school. Although I was married I never understood what attraction was, and I am unable to confess my attraction to another

Bubbly - sometimes what we think is a weakness can be an asset to God - but we must use it in God's perfect will. Pray to the Lord and ask him to use your blunt-ness to glorify his name and carry out his perfect will. It will amaze you how the Lord will use this weakness for his purposes.
