Dear Parents,
We had fun teaching the worship song “Jesus Loves Me” at School Family this Friday! Next Monday, our kindergarten class will get to teach this song to the preschoolers at their chapel next week. What an exciting opportunity to shine for Jesus and share His love!
This class continues to work hard and follow through with homework each week. Mrs. Barber observed one of the science lessons last week when we had my chickens, Penny and KFC, visit our classroom for a special presentation. Boy, was Mrs. Barber impressed with our students knowledge and eagerness to learn! Bravo!
Speaking of chickens, our next fieldtrip will be a visit to the Centennial Farm at the Orange County Fairgrounds in March. Please see the attached information. Yee haw!
Have a very pleasant weekend! God bless.
Mrs. Vandercook

Dear Parents,
We had a very festive Valentine’s Day party on Tuesday! Our room was filled with good food, balloons, and valentines! Thank you, Joshua Barrajas, Pali and Puru Jain, Jaden Jones, Carson Ly, Charlize Orellana, Sean Pham, Ellie Wagner, Eric Wang, and Mary Gail Weber for all of your contributions to our party! We appreciated having help from the Elli’s mom, Aidan’s grandmother, and Charlize’s dad!
On Tuesday, we also enjoyed celebrating our 100th day of school! To help us celebrate, Joshua Barrajas and Carson Ly brought in 100 pieces of candy each, and Ellie Wagner brought in 100 shiny, colorful stones!
Take a look C.C.A’s facebook page and you will find a photo album titled “Kindergarden’s School Family on Courage”. Please feel free to download and share any of the photos!
Thank you, Mrs. Ly, for helping us in the Library on Monday and for being our Mystery Reader!
Have a spectacular weekend! God bless.

Dear Parents,
Our Scholastic Book Fair was terrific! We had fun as a class exploring the book fair on Tuesday. Thank you for supporting this activity. As a result, our classroom will receive quite a few books to add to our book library. We can hardly wait to read these stories during reading time!
Please remember Miss Donna in your prayers. Her husband, Don, passed away on Monday. Our students have made individual cards for her. If you would like to send a note or card we can deliver it to Miss Donna, or you can send a card to Donna Haverson at Walnut Village. Anaheim, CA.
Have a faith-filled weekend! God bless.

February Poem:
Our Flag
I see it hanging
on the wall;
And when I see it,
I stand tall.
I straighten my back;
I vow to be true.
I love the flag
with the red, white, and blue!
I’m sure you’ve guessed
the flag I’m proud of –
It stands for America,
the land I love.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Dear Parents,
Every student scored 100% on our first spelling test! I think a treat is in order. Spelling words will increase in complexity as the weeks progress, but this class is up to the challenge! Keep up the good work!
This week we have completed our President’s Day paper quilts and have begun to make our old-fashioned Valentine’s Day mailboxes. Both of these projects are geared toward older students, but our class did a terrific job following instructions and completing each project. We are quite impressed!
Please continue to pray for Miss Donna and her husband, Don. He has been diagnosed with cancer, and the prognosis for his recovery is very poor.
Our Scholastic Book Fair is next week. As a class, we will go to the book fair on Tuesday, at 2:30pm. Students are welcome to just browse or they may bring money to purchase a book. Parents are welcome to come with us.
Have a wonderful weekend! God bless.
