Week of February 22, 2010

Dear Parents,

We enjoyed our reward of free dress day on Wednesday and I must say we have some very stylish students! In science, we are studying plants and have attempted to grow a jade plant from a cutting. We’re also trying to grow new plants from a tuber and a bulb. We’ll see what happens!

Please review your child’s math test in the Friday folder. It is important that students review each week’s math concepts. Students must be sure to include labels in their answers. We have been reminding students to include labels. However, with 4th grade fast approaching they will need to take more responsibility for this. We want them sharp and ready for next year!

Congratulations to Annaliese Zeidan for passing all of the one minute multiplication tests! Savannah Alday and Haley Robinson passed the five minute test of 100 multiplication facts! Kalan Namkoong passed the 3 minute test of 100 multiplication facts and Dylan Chin passed the 2 ½ minute test of 100 multiplication facts! Fantastic! It looks like we will be taking our first group of students who passed the 2 ½ minute test out to lunch next week! Yeah!

Have a wonderful weekend! God bless.
