Project13: Solar system painting
2nd grade classroom project-Students will learn about the solar system in 2nd grade class and this art project will help students remember important characteristics of planets and will help them learn how to paint various planets.

Project9: Landscape watercolor painting
Students learn how to paint in watercolor. Various watercolor painting techniqus will be demonstrated and covered. Watercolor is a wonderful medium but is less forgiving compared to other paints like tempera or oil. We will learn how to plan ahead in watercolor.

5th Grade
Project10: Supper
Group project- Most of the students are done constructing their clay projects. We are waiting for them to dry so I can fire them in the kiln. The next step is glazing. We will discuss how to glaze fired pots and learn different glazing techniques.

Project15: Reflection project-Boat and reflection
Students will learn how to draw and paint reflections.
Medium: Tempera paint
Project16: Self-Portrait
Students learn how to draw self-portrait drawing using large shapes first and then small shapes.

1st Grade
Project 12: Visualization project
Listen to 'Jonah and the big fish' story from the Bible. Students need to pick one scene from this story to draw.

Students learn how to paint (landscape) paintings. We discussed about 4 different art styles in class. Students get to show their landscapes in 4 styles: Realism, Impressionism, Abstract and Surrealism.
