<p>Athletic Fees:<br />
$150 per sport; billed to the student's account.  Athletic fees pay for league dues, referees, field rentals, replacement equipment/uniforms, trophies, medals, certificates and other expenses related to the annual sports awards night.</p>

<p>Physical Exam Reminder:  <br />
All athletes (high school only) must take a physical exam before the first game of their season. </p>

<p>Parents wishing to volunteer to be an assistant coach on a CCHS team should first discuss the need with the appropriate coach.  Names of prospective volunteer assistant coaches will be reviewed/approved by the Athletics Director.</p>

Students must be in the proper P.E. uniform for class.  Out of uniform = a 20% deduction; Tardy or lack of effort = a 40% deduction of the day's participation points. Participation is worth 75% of the grade.</p>

<p>Gym lockers with combination lock are issued to all PE students/dancers/ athletes. Lost/ damaged locks incur a $10 replacement charge.</p>

<p>Quarterly Test:<br />
The 3rd Quarter written test/physical strength performance test (push ups and situps) will be given the week of Mar 12.<br />

Several players on both the boys' and girls' teams still have not turned in their athletic eligibility packets.  These packets (including phsyical exam) must be completed prior to participating in games. Time is getting short as the boys' and girls' first games are December 5.</p>

The first tournament games are listed but subsequent games within each tournament depend on how the teams do in their first game (win vs. lose). The date and start time of those follow-on games will be announced verbally to the players by the coach.</p>

The 2nd Quarter written test/physical strength performance test (push ups and situps) will be given the week of Jan 9. A test review will be conducted in class on Tue, Jan 10 and the test will be given on Jan 11. <p>Parents wishing to volunteer to be an assistant coach on a CCHS team should first discuss the need with the appropriate coach.  Names of prospective volunteer assistant coaches will be reviewed/approved by the Athletics Director.</p>

<p><u><b>WINTER H.S. SPORTS 2011-12</b></u><br />
Several players on both the boys' and girls' teams still have not turned in their athletic eligibility packets.  These packets (including phsyical exam) must be completed prior to participating in games. Time is getting short as the boys' and girls' first games are December 5.</p>

<p>Athletic Fees:<br />
$150 per sport; billed to the student's account.  Athletic fees pay for league dues, referees, field rentals, replacement equipment/uniforms, trophies, medals, certificates and other expenses related to the annual sports awards night.</p>

<p>Physical Exam Reminder:  <br />
All athletes (high school only) must take a physical exam before the first game of their season. </p>

<p>Parents wishing to volunteer to be an assistant coach on a CCHS team should first discuss the need with the appropriate coach.  Names of prospective volunteer assistant coaches will be reviewed/approved by the Athletics Director.</p>

<p><u><b>WINTER H.S. SPORTS 2011-12</b></u><br />
Several players on both the boys' and girls' teams still have not turned in their athletic eligibility packets.  These packets (including phsyical exam) must be completed prior to participating in games. Time is getting short as the boys' and girls' first games are December 5.</p>

The first tournament games are listed but subsequent games within each tournament depend on how the teams do in their first game (win vs. lose). The date and start time of those follow-on games will be announced verbally to the players by the coach.</p>

Students must be in the proper P.E. uniform for class.  Out of uniform = a 20% deduction; Tardy or lack of effort = a 40% deduction of the day's participation points. Participation is worth 75% of the grade.</p>

<p>Gym lockers with combination lock are issued to all PE students/dancers/ athletes. Lost/ damaged locks incur a $10 replacement charge.</p>

<p>Quarterly Test:<br />
The 2nd Quarter written test/physical strength performance test (push ups and situps) will be given the week of Jan 9. A test review will be conducted in class prior to the test day. <br />

Friday, December 9th, 3:30 - 5:15 PM is our double-elimination Handball Tournament for Fifth graders. Signup sheet will be in Mrs. Papelian's classroom on Monday, November 28th. Congratulations to Mrs. Enriquez who has accepted the position as coach of our girls' varsity basketball team.  Coach Enriquez will be emailing a practice schedule to all parents.</p>

<p><u><b>FALL M.S. SPORTS</b></u><br />
Boys who want to play football and girls who want to play basketball must have parents complete a Permission/Commitment/Uniform statement and three original Medical Consent and Release forms prior to practicing or playing.</p>

P.E. classes are held every day.  Students will be expected to be in the proper P.E. uniform every class session.  A 20% point deduction will be made from the daily participation grade for being out of uniform.  A 40% deduction from the day's participation points will be made for Tardy or Lack of effort. Participation is 75% of the grade for the class.</p>

<p>Quarterly Test:<br />
The 2nd Quarter written test/physical strength performance test (push ups and situps) will be given the week of Jan 9. A test review will be conducted in class prior to the test day. Deadline for turn-in of First Quarter project is Friday, January 13.  Partial credit can still be earned by turning the project no later than Thursday, January 19.  A reduction in points applies for late turn-in of the project (10% per school day late).</p>

<p>Physical Exam Reminder:  <br />
All athletes (high school only) must take a physical exam before the first game of their season. </p>

<p>Parents wishing to volunteer to be an assistant coach on a CCHS team should first discuss the need with the appropriate coach.  Names of prospective volunteer assistant coaches will be reviewed/approved by the Athletics Director.</p>

Students must be in the proper P.E. uniform for class.  Out of uniform = a 20% deduction; Tardy or lack of effort = a 40% deduction of the day's participation points. Participation is worth 75% of the grade.</p>

<p>Gym lockers with combination lock are issued to all PE students/dancers/ athletes. Lost/ damaged locks incur a $10 replacement charge.</p>

P.E. classes are held every day.  Students will be expected to be in the proper P.E. uniform every class session.  A 20% point deduction will be made from the daily participation grade for being out of uniform.  A 40% deduction from the day's participation points will be made for Tardy or Lack of effort. Participation is 75% of the grade for the class.</p>

<p>Quarterly Test:<br />
The 1st Quarter written test/physical strength performance test (push ups and situps) will be given the week of October 17. </p>

<p>Parents wishing to volunteer to be an assistant coach on a CCHS team should first discuss the need with the appropriate coach.  Names of prospective volunteer assistant coaches will be reviewed/approved by the Athletics Director.</p>

<p>Boys' fall basketball practice schedule is tentatively set at Mondays, 3:30 - 6:00; Wednesdays, 5:00 - 7:00 PM; and Thursdays, 3:30 - 6:00 PM. Schedule is subject to change.</p>

<p><b>GIRLS VOLLEYBALL</b><br />
It won't be long before the Fall volleyball season begins for the girls. Plan on coming out to support the Lady Lions!  Parents--remember you can earn PIP hours towards your required volunteer hours. Check the schedule out and sign up early to beat the rush! <br />
