Dear Parents and Students,

I’m sure you loved the Awards Ceremony this morning as much as I did. I just adore my class and will miss each and every one of my students. I especially loved the student made awards. They are truly special and original. It shows how much they really care about each other. It has been such a blessing getting to know them as individuals. They are absolutely, positively, uniquely, spectacular people. I can’t wait to see all the good things God has in store for this group. I will miss all of you parents and grandparents as well. You have done a great job as parents and I respect you for all you do to keep your children in a Christian school.

We are definitely in the countdown to summer. Next week Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are regular days. Thursday is a half day with 12:00 noon dismissal.

CCA END OF THE YEAR ALL SCHOOL CELEBRATION… PTT will be serving pizza and water for $1.00 at the end-of-the-year party. Also, students may bring a white shirt for signatures if they wish. A NOTE WITH COMPLETE DETAILS SHOULD GO HOME ON MONDAY. The last day of school is free dress!

***Don’t forget “Hey, Ho Pinocchio” the musical starring our very own Dominic, Zoie, Maddy R., and Audrey starts this Friday, May 28th. Friday, June 4th & Saturday, June 5th at 7pm. A special Pinocchio Dinner will be served Friday June 4th at 5:30 pm on the PJ Abbey Patio before the show. Tickets for lasagna, salad, garlic bread, and a drink are only $5.00 pre-sale or $6.00 at the door!!! Show tickets are $5.00 general admission and $3.00 CCA students. I went last weekend and it was super cute and funny. I highly recommend going and supporting our classmates and drama department.

***All missing class work recent or from progress report is due Monday, June 7th . Every student will be bringing home their math, spelling, language, and Bible books over the long weekend. See the list of extra credit work at the bottom of this Friday Letter.

ASAP…Please return any borrowed textbooks, workbooks, or other books that I lent to you for the year or that were brought home for homework. Please check your house with your child for any science, history, math, extra spelling workbook, literature readers… I NEED THEM BACK IN THE CLASSROOM BY MONDAY, JUNE 7TH for end of the year inventory. I appreciate your help with this.

Thursday, June 10th is the Last Day of School. School will be dismissed at 12:00 noon. Please make arrangements for your child to be picked up at that time. There will be NO DAY CARE offered that day. The PTT hosts an annual end of the year party for the students. Information will be coming home soon with all the details.

Bible Book Reports Due Monday, June 7th – The students chose one of the Gospels except for Mark. Students have been given time to read and finish their reports in class. When they are done reading the entire gospel and the reading log is complete the next step is to write a summary that should be 1 1/2 pages long. Next, choose your favorite character from your book to write about it on pg. 273 and last, pick one story from the book, and tell the story as if you were that person pg. 273-274. I am sending the students home with the handouts if they needed an extra copy. Please finish over the weekend and bring it completed to school on Monday. It does not need to be typed. Make sure that the final copy is done in your best handwriting and is edited.
