Spelling:
Monday: Write Spelling Words (1 time each)
Tuesday: Say the word, spell it and say it again
Wednesday: (verbally) use each spelling word in a sentence
Thursday: Give a family member our spelling test. Correct it together
Friday: Spelling Test at school
This will be a review Spelling Test (words from the past)

Reading:
Monday-Thursday:
Practice reading 5-10 minutes each night with a family member, use a book from home or the library. Discuss the story after reading.

Bible:

What’s new this week??
-Social Studies: we are learning about the different customs and cultures of the Native Americans.
-Science: Insects-we will begin working in our Bug Jug booklets.
-Math: Vertical, horizontal, and oblique lines. It is critical that your child practices their math drills nightly!!!!
Looking ahead:
-1st grade artwork is on display on the 2nd floor. Come check it out!
-Monday, November 23-Non Student day (Teacher’s Retreat)
-No Thanksgiving feast or party. We will be reading the Cranberry Thanksgiving story and we will be bringing Cranberry bread and juice to share with the students!
-Thursday, November 26 & 27- No School (Happy Thanksgiving)
-No spelling test will be given the week of Thanksgiving.
