Week of December 12, 2011
6th Grade Science
We are continuing in chapter 7 – Volcanoes. Continue working on your project about how volcanoes affect people which is due January 12, 2012. We are currently on schedule to take the Unit Test (chapter 1-7) on January 18th. You may wish to review a little each day during Christmas break.

7th Grade Science
We will be completing chapter 5 on Fighting Disease. The take home chapter test will be due on Friday December 16th. Remember, the Stop the Invasion Projects are due by January 10th. Projects completed and presented earlier will receive extra credit. Early presentation dates are still available for this week.

We are staying fit with Christmas themed games and reviewing major skeletal muscles. 4th and 5th grade PE projects are due Thursday January 12th.

8th Grade Science
We will be taking the chapter 5 test - Atoms and Bonding - on Tuesday. We will start our new chapter on Chemical Reaction on Wednesday.

7th Grade Science
We are working in chapter 5 on Infectious Disease. We will be doing a lab on Tuesday looking at how skin is a barrier to disease. We will need 25 apples so parents if you are willing to donate apples let me know. Students need to be sure to be working on their project - Stop the Invasion. Early birds dates begin right away.

6th Grade Science
We have completed chapter 6 on Earthquakes with the chapter test scheduled for Tuesday December 6. We will begin chapter 7 on Volcanoes this week. The 2nd quarter project will be assigned this week and due January 12, 2012.
