HORMONES, SCIENCE & TALENT ~ By: Mia Sulentic (Class Historian)
This week we started our first two classes of "Puberty" class. At first everyone was kind of overreacting, but our teacher, Mrs. Ferrel, was very fun and calmed us down. Wow, we are growing up!
We also had a science test about weather. I hope that everyone did a great job on it. We got a packet that we had to think of ideas for the Science Project. I can't wait until we get started. We also did a very interesting and awesome experiment, which Claudia is going to talk about (scroll down to see it).
Okay, enough about science, let's talk about the Talent Show. There was beautiful singing. Jumping Jupiter! Congrats to Beki and the Jump Rope club. Bravo Justin, your piano playing was impressive! Overall it was a very entertaining show!
Thursday ~ By: Claudia Vidal
On Thursday, after lunch, Mrs. Barber came to our classroom to see how we are doing. Mrs. Papelian did an experiment on how clouds form. First, she took a soda pop bottle and put some water in it. She then squeezed the bottle to create air pressure in the bottle. Then, she lit a match, put it in the bottle, and closed it with the cap quickly so the smoke would not come out of the bottle. Then, she squeezed and released the bottle. All of a sudden, you could see a cloud form. Everyone was amazed to see a cloud form. We all got to squeeze the bottle. Every time we squeezed it, the cloud disappeared. Every time we released it, the cloud reappeared.
