I will be out on Tuesday and Wednesday this week due to hand surgery. If all goes well, I plan on being back by Thursday.

Please review the spelling words nightly in preparation for the pre-test on Tuesday. Final test is on Friday. There are also some vocabulary words this week

The words must be spelled correctly, but the definition does not need to be correctly spelled.
Bible: We will be learning more about Jesus’ ministry.
Weekly Bible Verse: “All of them ate and were satisfied. The disciples picked up 12 baskets of leftover pieces.” (Matthew 14:20)
Please help your child memorize the verse for the test on Friday.
Reading: Please be sure to have your child read at least 15 - 20 minutes daily. Reading logs should be completed and returned on Monday so that I can record them.
Math: Please be studying math facts each night. Students may turn in completed timed tests for extra credit.

Weekly Homework for January 16-20
Our Valentine’s Day party will be on February 14th. If your child is bringing valentines, please make sure there is one for every classmate. I will be sending home a class list for your convenience. We would like to include Divine as well so we can mail her some valentines. There will be lunch provided on the 14th so you do not need to send a lunch with your child. There will be a sign up for bringing goodies posted outside of the classroom when it gets closer to the holiday. If you are interested, you may sign up to donate something for our party.
