Science: Seal Life Unit- Sharks. How many different types of sharks are there?
Language: We are working on listening skills. (Some testing included)
LOOKING AHEAD:
May 7th- Open House. Hope to see all of you there.
May 25th- No School- Memorial Day Weekend.
June 5th- Awards. I will present awards in our classroom immdediately following School Family.

LOOKING AHEAD:
April 28th- Field Trip- Long Beach Aquarium
Students may wear their "regular" uniform. Please bring a sweater or sweatshirt if the weather is cool. Bring a sack lunch only. No glass bottles! Don't forget to write your name on the lunch bag. We will not have time to shop, so please do not send money with your child. I appreciate your help and support in this matter.
May 7th- Thursday- Open House
This is a wonderful time to observe your child's hard work throughout the year. They are really excited to share with you. Look forward to seeing all of you there.

BIBLE: No School Family this week.
We will review previous taught Bible Verses.
READING: Please read 10 minutes each night.
MATH: Practice all math flashcards nightly. Complete side (B) of any math sheets sent home.
WHAT'S NEW THIS WEEK:
Science: We have started our unit on Sea Life. We will begin with the study of whales. Ask your child a few of the following questions.
* Are whales mammals?
*How many groups of whales are there?
* Do whales make sounds?
We are learning about the ocean floor. Is the bottom of the ocean flat? Or does it have rocks, mountains, volcanoes and valleys? We have many new things to learn.
LOOKING AHEAD:
April 10th- No School/Good Friday.
Easter Vacation begins.
April 20th- School Resumes.
April 28th- Field Trip to the Aquarium of the Pacific. Please turn in all money and permission slips no later than April 22nd.
