Dear Parents,
Things have been a little weird around here lately because I’ve been out sick a lot. I am still catching up on grading and collecting all of the assignments. I will try to send a list of missing work (if applicable) home with your child soon. Thanks for your patience.
The coffee cans look great! Hopefully by today we have finished all of the oral reports. You will not have your scores back yet because I am still grading the scrolls.
The final draft of the factual report has been pushed back to Monday. Please make sure that your child is finished and ready to turn it in on time.
Our science unit on soils was very short. I missed several of the days of instruction for this unit. As a result, our next test will be open book. Students completed and corrected the chapter review this week which they may use during the test. The test will be this Monday, March 15. Students can use their books, section reviews, chapter review, and notes to help them on this test. However, they still need to be able to explain important concepts for the critical thinking sections.
Tuesday is the next math on lessons 71-75. Keep working with your students. If they have missed 5 or more on the homework please help your child redo the missed problems. They will usually be attached to the assignment book.
Next week’s spelling test on list 26 will be on Thursday, March 15th.
Next week is Jump for Heart. Keep working on getting your donations. Our jump time is next Wednesday, March 17th from 1:10-1:55.
The next Bible test will be on Tuesday, March 23rd. This unit was all about King Saul’s reign. You can review by studying the stories of 1st Samuel. You will review a study guide the week before the test.
International Day is on Wednesday, March 24th. I encourage each student to come dressed in their cultural attire. It would to fun to have 100% participation! There will be an assembly that afternoon. If your child is interested in performing something cultural that day, please let me know so we can tell the International Day coordinator. That Friday is the international dinner. Please put these dates on your calendar.
The Bible verse test will be on Friday, March 26th. Students will need to write Psalm 27:1-3, 13-14 from memory.
