Dear Parents,

Happy last Friday of the year! This morning at awards it was really fun to recognize each child for their unique gifts and talents. I’m so proud of all of my students! Continue to encourage your child in the areas of their strengths and talents.

This has been an incredible year. I have been so blessed by each one of you. I will be praying for you this summer. I can’t put in to words all the blessings from the year, but it was amazing. Each student has touched me in a unique way. I’m so proud of everyone for their hard work and persistence.

Thank you all for coming to the GPS show on Wednesday night. We had a huge crowd! The students did a WONDERFUL job! I was so proud of all their hard work and their two amazing performances.

Please make sure that all library books and textbooks are at school on Monday. I will be collecting the books either Monday or Tuesday and they need to be here.

If you don’t have summer plans, consider our summer program. It’s going to be a fun-filled summer. Sign up today. I would also encourage you to have your child read this summer. It will increase their vocabulary and keep their minds engaged over the summer. Check out your local library to see if they have a summer reading plan. I loved doing that as a child!

We are done with all of the major tests and assignments. Everything was due today so hopefully it was all turned in. Report cards should be mailed by June 18th. Next week we will be finishing up our studies on Monday and part of Tuesday morning. The rest of Tuesday we will be cleaning our tubs and lockers as well as turning all of our text books back in. Tuesday afternoon at 2:45 we will have our summer birthday party.

Don’t forget that next Wednesday, June 10th, is our last day of school. It is also a half day so make sure your child is picked up.
