This week we started two projects. We started our Body System Report and our Mythical Countries.
For our Body System Report, we have to write a reprot on a assigned system. We have to draw a picture, write about what is the function of the system, write about 3 ways that you can help keep it in good working order, describe how it works, and list three facts about the system and major parts. Due 11-30
The second projecty is Mythical Countries. you have to draw any country (not U.S.) that fills the whole paper as much as possible. Then choose 5 real things to put on the map. Next, 5 imaginary things also give them names. [according to chosen theme] Color neatly and add any extra to show your est effort. Have fun with it!

Christmas is coming, however not all of the children in the world are fortunate to get present. Therefore, we were encouraged to turn in Operation Christmas Child boxes for these needy children. We packed school supplies, toys, hard candies, clothing, and other helpful items in our boxes. We wish them a Merry Christmas and hope they will enjoy our small gifts. God blesses everyone!

This week we had chapel with the older grades. It was an interesting experience. After Mr. Mejia led us in worship songs, we were introduced to a missionary from Ukraine who told us stories about poor kids living in Ukraine. She told us about unfortunate kids living in orphanages and homeless[ness] on the streets. Then she showed us a short film of those orphaned kids and caring adults who happily adopted them. After the film, we were asked to pray for these youngsters of Ukraine. The film touched our hearts and we shall keep them in our prayers.

by Amber-
Wednesday we started our Bible Project called Heroes of Faith. First, we have to pick a character. The choices are Noah, Abraham, Moses, Joshua, Gideon, and Saul- those that we studied in this unit. After, we need to write a one page paper on one character that includes... what choices did the character make? How did the person serve and obey God?...The second part of teh project is to draw a picture of your character in the setting of an important event of his life. Have fun with this project!

This week we have the Book Fair. It was fun! There were many books for students to buy and read. There were different sections of adventure, fantasy, mystery, historical fiction, graphic novels, chapter, facts and stats, science, and cooking books. There were also other selling items like posters, pens, erasers, book marks, little notebooks, sharpeners, computer games, and activity notebooks. With each purchase a free globe keychain or an eraser is given. Buyers are also given raffle tickets to win stuff animals. Congratulations to David in winning a stuffed animal.
Have a great week!
Love,
Mrs. Dey
