Kindergarten

The week of January 5th
Dear Parents,

Welcome to C.C.A Kindergarten and the new year 2009.

Winter is finally here and the mountains are beautiful
with snow. Our Christmas was lovely and I hope yours
was also.

A huge thanks to those who contributed to the Glory
Table and to the brave ones who helped me sell on
that rainy and windy and cold night. They were real
troopers. (They were Alexa Tran's dad, Mark frost's,
Krislyn Pope's, Elsabella Wang's, and Mitchell's Mom
and Grandma).

Thanks also to those who contributed to our Christmas
party and to Hannah's mom and Andrew's mom for
helping serve and clean up. We are blessed with great
parents.

This weeks work:

Bible : Samson's Marriage, The Philistines, Delilah,
and Samuel's birth
The character award is "Respect'.

The new bible verse is Psalm 3:3
(we sing it)
Phonics and Writing : We are starting the consonants.
We have covered T, L , B, M, H, S, C, D, G,
R, F and will do K, V and W. We do crafts and
songs along with the letters.

Math: The children will write numbers 0 through 30.
We do addition doubles, work with pattern
blocks, use fact cards and find out "what
is different". We are using fact cards for
addition and subtraction.
They will learn to recognize pennies and nickels
to count with.
We are starting to tell time.

Science: Weather- snow, storms, tornadoes
and hurricanes
