Q: Is Crystal Cathedral church membership a requirement to purchase Memorial Gardens property?
A: No. church membership is not a requirement.
Q: Where is the cemetery located?
A: The
cemetery is on the campus of the Crystal Cathedral on the west side.
The entrance stairs are between the two waterfalls. A ramp for wheelchair
access is just north of the entrance.
Q: What are the types of burial property offered?
A: Traditional
lawn crypts and wall crypt for casket burial, and niches for urn placement. Premium property
includes private family gardens, private family rooms, and family crypts
located beneath our beautiful and famous statues.
Q: What does the property cost?
A: Prices start at $1,400 for niche space to $16,750 for a 4-space wall crypt. It depends on the burial property selected. Premium property, including family gardens, family rooms and family crypts
located beneath statues, are $225,000 to $750,000.
Q: What does the price include?
A: Use of one of our facilities for a service, when held Monday through Friday, and endowment care. There is an additional $300 charge for a Saturday interment, or service.
Q: Are there any other costs?
A: Yes, lawn markers, inscriptions, and placements are additional.
Q: Is financing available?
A: Yes,
for pre-need purchases only. 20% down is required at the time of purchase
with either a 120-day payoff at no interest or a 1 to 5 year payment
plan at 10% interest.
Q: Can we
have a memorial service at the Crystal Cathedral if we don't own property?
A: Yes.
The memorial service facility and arrangement fee is $500 and includes
the use of either the Cathedral, Arboretum, or the Chapel In The Sky.
We can arrange for a pastor, an organist and soloist for a reasonable
honorarium. We offer memorial folders, memorial books, and thank you
cards.
Q: We have
already taken care of our pre-need plans. At the time of a death, what
needs to be done?
A: Call our phone number, 714-971-4138. Our Memorial Gardens staff is available to assist you every day except holidays and the above number
is polled for emergency calls.
Q: If I want to buy property in the Memorial Gardens, how do I go about it?
A: You
may come into the cemetery office Monday through Friday, from 8:30am
- 5:00pm, or Saturday and Sunday 9:00am to 3:30pm with the exception of holidays,
and speak with a staff member, or call the Memorial Gardens administrative
