The Christian family has been under attack from the world and has left its casualties. The children of today are bombarded with many avenues to rear themselves however; the role of the man in a lot of instances have been weaken by laws that is put in place to divide the family and the child that is being affected the most is our boys. On many occasions it is very difficult to distinguish between the male and female role in the world due to so many wrong signals that have been put before our kids in all of the media and the different behaviors that the children are exposed to on a daily basis.

In a lot of our homes there are boys trying to rear themselves into manhood because of the absence of a father image. There may not be that male in the boys’ life to teach him what he needs to know to make the transition into manhood. Also there is not that competent male to tell the boy that he has what it takes to mature into a man. This is very difficult because even with a father in the home if that dad does not take responsibility to teach the son GODLY principles and exemplify what it is to be a man then the boy does not have a model of a true man living in a manner that is pleasing to God. There is so much talent, potential and abilities that our young men have to offer and we must harness it. We can not afford to let the enemy claim any more of our children.

Boys to Men and Men to Mentors is more than a motto it is our battle for our boys lives. In our Men’s ministry we have seen that when the Men of God attend church then the entire family tends to follow the man’s leadership. As we grow men participation in the church we also grow the number of men who attend church. Our boys must have a chance to be mentored into men that realize their role in God’s Kingdom and The family. It is important to develop strong boys because they will take over leadership from the older men one day. The men who mentor must be men of God who know that they have the responsibility to love, teach, strengthen, encourage and motivate our boys. The boys being mentored will one day grow into a strong male who will mentor a boy as he had been mentored.
