Facilities Technician

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Employment Status: Full Time, Non-exempt

Summary: This position is responsible for providing assistance to Carpentry, Plumbing, Locks, Electrical, and HVAC for all campus facilities.

• Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assists the carpenter on projects or repairs.
• Provides assistance to the plumbers.
• Assist electricians, change light bulbs or other duties as requested.
• Maintain tools and equipment.
• Assist HVAC by changing filters or other duties.
• Assists all trades with preparation, maintenance and clean up on campus projects.

• Education/Experience:
• General handyman experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• High School Diploma.

• Abilities/Skills:
• Strong Communication skills.
• Use good judgment to complete tasks efficiently and be self-motivated.
• Possess and utilize the technical skills needed for all trades.
• Knowledge and sensibility to use equipment, tools and campus vehicles properly.
• Must be flexible to changing tasks with little notice.
• Ability to respond quickly to situations with accuracy, dependability and confidentiality.
• Flexibility in working odd hours during The Glory of Christmas, The Glory of Easter, and other big events. Must work weekends.
• Must possess a positive attitude with good work ethics and be trust worthy.
• Must have the ability to seek out information needed for task(s).
• Complete all other tasks assigned by facility management.
• Models Christian faith and avidly supports the theology and mission of the Crystal Cathedral.
